The expo is designed to showcase Merimbula and the Sapphire Coast of NSW as a desirable location to live, work and play, organiser and president of the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce Nigel Ayling said.
"It all kicks off with the main event which is the expo at Club Sapphire on Saturday, from 10am to 2pm. Entry is free and attendees will be able to meet and chat to a wide range of exhibitors about housing, education, employment opportunities and collect information required when considering making a sea change to the area," Mr Ayling said.
"On Sunday there are whole host of experiences lined up throughout the day, which will let you experience what it might be like to live here.
"From 10am you can 'Meet a Local' at the Merimbula Wharf and Aquarium have a coffee and a chat and get to ask those questions about what it is like to live here. You can even get a free tour of the aquarium," he said.
At Spencer Park the fishing club is holding an open club house and barbecue, the Rotary Club of Merimbula is doing a meet and greet and Marine Rescue members are providing boat inspection tours.
Mr Ayling said it was a great opportunity to find out more about these organisations and how people could get involved.
Throughout the day other events include, bushwalks, skatepark action, gardening clubs, Nippers, Tennis Club open day, history walks, scenic flights, fitness classes and U3A classes.
