No new COVID-19 cases in Eurobodalla and Bega Valley shires for second consecutive day

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet announces $500 million investment in tourism.

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) announced no new COVID-19 cases in the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley shires for the second day in a row.

Across the district there were three new cases in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region, which brings the total cases in the SNSWLHD to 410 since the start of the June outbreak.

As of Monday, October 18 92.3 per cent of people aged 16 and over had received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 81.6 per cent were fully vaccinated in NSW.

There will be a pop up vaccine clinic at the Batemans Bay Soldiers club from Thursday, October 21 to Saturday, October 23.

The walk in clinic will run from 9am to 4pm and administer Pfizer for people aged 12-years and over and Astra Zeneca for people over-18.

Everyone in the district should be alert for any symptoms such as headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.

If symptoms appear, people must get tested immediately and isolate until a negative result is received.

A list of COVID-19 testing clinics is available on the SNSWLHD website.
