After two postponements, Eden Combined Churches Debutante Balls have been scheduled to proceed and will now be held at Oaklands Event Centre in Pambula.

Committee member and dance teacher Pam Inwood said there was a much relief, with students and organisers now able to get underway with preparations, after plans having been up in the air for so long.

"It's fantastic we can have it at Oaklands now that the Fishermen's Club is no longer an option. Oaklands has a huge capacity for guests," Pam said.

"We are having Year 12 debs with just nine girls, which would have been in 2020, on December 17 at Oaklands. Practices for the event will start on Thursday December 2.

"These kids will be out in the big wide world, so we needed to organise it now as we don't know where they'll be," Pam said.

Not wanting to be in a position of questioning all attendees about vaccination status, organisers decided to wait until after December 1.

"We have booked in the other ball for the two Year 11 groups on February 12 of next year, also at Oaklands."

The balls will begin at 6.30pm. Ticket prices are $55 a head including a sit down dinner, and tickets will be available for guests.
