I was born in Eden, went to primary school here and then we were bussed to Bega each day for high school before Eden High School was built. I moved on to Sydney for university and returned to Eden in 1987. I had married and had three young children and we had taken 12 months off work to travel around Australia with a camper trailer. After 7 months on the road we got to Eden to spend some time with family and never made it back to Sydney. Life was too good here.
What do you like most about your job?
We run a bed and breakfast and I love connecting with interesting people from so many different places and sharing my passion for this area.
What do you like least about your job?
Washing sheets.
What's your favourite place in Eden and/or the Bega Valley?
The wharf. It is ever-changing. So much action there all the time.
If you won $1million what would you do first?
Support family first then look for a community project where this money would make a difference.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
Family and friends.
What are three words that describe Eden best?
Stunning scenery, great community, locally owned businesses.
What do you think Eden needs the most as a community?
Sense of unity and common goals. I think we 90% have that but reckless comments on Facebook can take their toll on the mental health of our wonderful team of volunteers who are achieving great outcomes for Eden.
