Queensland have lost a helter-skelter battle against the Hurricanes in the final match of Super Round in Melbourne, going down in extra time 38-33.

With the score 33-33 at the end of regular time, reserve prop Pasilio Tosi barrelled across the line six minutes into golden point to deliver heart-break to the Reds.
The Hurricanes earned the win, playing with 14 men from the 57th minute after All Blacks centre Jordie Barrett was given a red card for a high tackle.
It gave New Zealand boasting rights teams with two wins over their Australian counterparts on Sunday after the ACT Brumbies were thrashed by the Chiefs 46-12 earlier.
The Waratahs flew the flag for Australia in the round, shocking the reigning champion Crusaders on Saturday while Melbourne won an all-Australian affair on Friday night over the Western Force, as all 12 Super Rugby Pacific teams squared off at AAMI Park.
Queensland coach Les Kiss said he was "super proud" of the Reds' bravery to stay in the fight but felt they had their chances to ice the match.
"Little inaccuracies cost us ... if we look back on the game during the week, we'll know where we just dropped the ball a bit on what we could have done, particularly when they had the card and were down to 14 men," Kiss said.
"I don't think we lost that game in the extra time, we just didn't do enough to take it in the 80 - there was a little bit of loose stuff right through the game.
"The boys didn't stop fighting so we're proud but it's still a loss and that hurts."
In an enthralling encounter, the teams went toe-to-toe from the opening whistle, with the scoreline 19-19 at halftime.
Playing his 100th Super match, Barrett got a yellow card for a shot on Reds fullback Jordan Petaia, who was forced off with the head knock, with the Television Match Official then upgrading it to a red card.
The Reds looked to have hit the front a minute later, with Peni Ravai charging over the line but replays showed the replacement prop had knocked on.
The teams again traded tries but desperate defence meant neither was able to pull away.
Barrett said he was relieved to see his team manage the win.
"It's a team game and the boys dug deep and got a win and I'm absolutely stoked about that," Barrett said.
"I'm just proud of the way they backed everything that we'd trained and didn't go conservative and kept playing and that's going to mean a lot for us going forward."
The Hurricanes' points came through six tries, with two tries each to All Blacks halfback Cam Roigard and fullback Ruben Love, while the Reds shared their spoils, with five players getting over the line.
Queensland's next challenge is the unbeaten Chiefs. Not only is Petaia in doubt, the Reds could be without first-choice prop Alex Hodgman (shoulder) and centre Hunter Paisami (concussion).
