In the A Grade competition Eden have been regarded as the in-form team throughout the entire competition with a strong top order of batsmen, supported well lower down the order and also with some great pace bowling available.
Eden A Grade was up against Tathra who had already given warning of what they could produce in the semi-finals when they took on and won, against the fancied Pambula side.
Eden made 169, all out, with their batsmen sharing the work farily evenly, Eden Cricket Club president Drew Mudaliar said.
Ian Smith was the top scorer with 34 while Mudaliar made 15.
Tathra made 70, all out, with the attack from Rahul Madalair coming early in the match and earning him Man of the Match.
The 15-year-old opening bowler took three wickets for no runs and set the tone of the match.
"It was pretty quick and he determined the outcome and left Tathra trailing from the start," Mudaliar said.
"He had three for five from six overs and that gave him Man of the Match. He's the youngest to get the award for aboout 15 years," Mudaliar said.
Rahul Mudaliar has made the NSW Country squad and is an U16 rep player.
But Mudaliar senior also paid credit to two of Tathra's bowlers, Lachlan Trickey who took three wickets and Cody Preo who took two wickets.
Mudaliar was also full of praise for the quality of the new ground which he said was fantastic.
"I have to pay credit to council for the completion of the new pavillion and the quality of the new ground is just fantastic. It's great to have a really nice pavillion in Eden and the quality is like a city ground," he said.
In the C Grade game Eden made 159, all out, to Merimbula's 70, all out.
