I have been here for just over four years, after spending 15 years in the Blue Mountains. We came for a sea change and a slower paced life, away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney.
What do you like most about your job?
I love getting out and meeting new people. I also volunteer at Eden Community Pantry every week to support the community, which I have been doing for the last two and a half years, as well as coordinating the vendors for our Eden community market. My service is very important to me both in my work and in general as a human.
What do you like least about your job?
COVID and the fires have been so hard for everyone here. It is very difficult to see how the economy has been so deeply affected and to see how the fires still have such an impact on so many here.
What's your favourite place in Eden and/or the Bega Valley?
Of course I'm very partial to where I live, the village of Wonboyn. What I love about our region is the stunning coastline and the beautiful bush. With all the native wildlife, we are very fortunate.
If you won $1million what would you do first?
Have a holiday!
What is one thing you cannot live without?
I can't live without my family.
What are three words that describe Eden best?
Spectacular pristine coastline.
What do you think Eden needs the most as a community?
I would love to see a large community centre, amphitheatre, where we could come together for events, music, outdoor movies, and celebrations as a community of all ages. I believe bringing people together really makes a difference to mental health and building a community up, helping us to see how we can support one another.
