Bega Valley Shire Council (BVSC) have announced restoration works are planned for the boardwalk platform on Aslings Beach Road in Eden in late January 2022 (after the school holidays), due to embankment erosion from multiple flood events.

The boardwalk will be dismantled, and construction work carried out to the footings, retaining wall and drainage system.
In the meantime, pedestrians will need to use the alternative walkway, which is sign-posted.
Once the works commence, traffic management control will be in place during the construction phase until completion, which is expected to be early March 2022, weather permitting.
BVSC said they would provide the local community with updates on traffic management plans during the construction period.
These restoration works are jointly funded by the Commonwealth and State governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
