Eden Marine High School principal Viv Chelin said while it has not been a usual end to Year 12 for the students, there have been some lovely moments along the way.
"It's been a really challenging time for current Year 12s, who went through the first lockdown while in Year 11 and then had the disappointment of repeating it this year," Ms Chelin said.
"It was extraordinarily stressful and I want to give absolute credit to every one of them as I am so impressed by the resilience they have shown.
"HSC is stressful enough as it as, without those added layers."
A graduation dinner is planned to be held at the Seahorse Inn on December 3, a date which also marks the end of their exam period, giving parents the opportunity to attend and recognise the students' achievements.
"They really are a remarkable group, they rolled with the challenges and carried on, asking for help when needed," Ms Chelin said.
"In a usual year they would have had a big farewell at the end of Term 3. But in Term 4 when they came back they had study workshops, which were a helpful way for them to be able to connect with teachers and access additional support if needed.
"They did wellbeing activities in the afternoons, which added an element of fun.
"When they did leave school to start their exams we had a year meeting, gave out their reports and wished them well.
"I think they'll be very glad to write their final exams! I know they feel supported and are aware that other students are thinking of them and wishing them well," Ms Chelin said.
