The funding is provided by Resilience NSW under the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund (BCRRF).
The BVSBF represents the combined Chambers of Commerce including Eden, Pambula, Bermagui, Cobargo, Bega, Tathra and Merimbula.
The forum has been operating for over 20 years, and the committee is made up with representatives from each of the Chambers.
"The funding will cover the cost of each Chamber to run a Town Summit, or similar community engagement - like the one held by Merimbula Chamber recently," Eden Chamber of Commerce president Eric Wolske said.
"The Merimbula Town Summit was a success and they've now created a 10 point action plan - some projects are short term and some are long term"
"From a local project perspective, Eden and surrounds is positioned very well at the moment", Mr Wolske said.
"After the 2020 bushfires, collaboration between the Eden Chamber, Community Access Centre, Visitor Information Centre, businesses, community groups and residents led to the formation of the Eden Recovery and Resilience Alliance (ERRA).
"The progress made by ERRA since its inception has been incredible," he said.
Mr Wolske said the ERRA group had seen 11 projects already completed as noted on the Priority Community, Economic Development and Tourism Projects document.
There are 20 active projects, with a number of those awaiting imminent decisions on grant funding applications.
"This successful BVSBF grant funding has come at a good time," Mr Wolske said.
"We have a couple of existing projects that will need community engagement, so we may be positioned to utilise a portion of the BVSBF funding to help facilitate the 'summits'.
"One of these projects is the Eden solar grid and community battery and we are currently exploring funding opportunities for a full feasibility study - any additional funding support would be most welcomed." The group will help with summit rollouts through the year.
Any local businesses, community groups and residents that want to be involved in the process should contact the Eden Chamber of Commerce or the Eden Community Access Centre.
