Primarily created to support the Eden Tigers Rugby League Club, the Old Tigers opened 2021 with a $500 raffle, which was drawn at a meet and greet with players at the Seahorse Inn in Boydtown recently.
The raffle was one by popular member Chris Symonds.
Thanks to previous fundraising efforts, the club are looking forward to putting to use a new line marker and sound system at the George Brown Memorial Oval.
Club officials said it was great to see the red and white back on the field, especially getting the early result over the Bears.
The club said they were keen to see growing strength in rugby league into the future and help the development pathways of young players through their fundraising efforts.
To support the club, the Old Tigers' next event will be a cocktail evening later this year.
