This was a project-based learning task where all Year 10 students became "experts" in a particular section of the newspaper and developed their investigative skills.
The project culminated in a journalism awards morning that celebrated student achievement in all areas of online journalism.
Jack Jorgensen was one of five student editors at the helm of the project and said the Year 10s started the new unit in week five of term four, completing their research, articles and development of the website over a six-week period.
"It was actually really fun to do all the formatting and being a graphic designer," he said.
"It was definitely stressful over the last two days, we slaved away for more than 13 hours over the weekend to finish it off."
Editor Niamh Occleshaw said it was a challenge to put it all together in a way that looked good aesthetically, but that it was really rewarding to see it all come together.
