The field of 50 contenders has been split into four grades with Morgan Thornton leading the A grade pack with 152 strokes from last year's winner Graham Cantrill on 156.
Tony Rogers is leading B grade with 177 strokes from Bob Ross just one shot behind with a tight finish expected.
Paul Webster is holding a six-shot lead in C grade from John Haenig. Connor Griffiths-Cassie leads D grade on 209 two strokes clear of Keith Perriman.
A few changes occurred between the first round which was sponsored by BSB Glass to round two the Alan Davis Memorial Day sponsored by Keith Perriman.
Club officials said the scores are close enough that anything could happen with the final two rounds to run this weekend. Players can stay back and watch the 4 top players in each grade finish around the 18th hole. They should be finishing about 2.30pm.
Saturdays Monthly BSB Glass medal was won by David Langenbecker with a score of 71 on a course that was playing difficult.
Tuesday's results had Pat Fethers on 33 points winning on a count-back from Yvonne Perriman. In the men's event Connor Griffiths-Cassie is still in good form with 38 points and straight-hitting Frank Whitelaw one shot back on 37.
