A recent Nethercote Music Factory raised $1000 for the Nethercote RFS which was handed to the deputy captain Ray Robertson on Sunday morning.

One of the organisers of the Music Factory, Jim Hinckley said they just told everyone the takings were going to the Nethercote RFS.
"Everyone went above and beyond because they are our local heroes," Mr Hinckley said.
He thanked the Nethercote RFS saying it had been a terrifying experience for everyone but the RFS were professionals.
Mr Robertson said the $1000 would be put to good use in providing two VHF radios which would be used by crew while they were spread out on the fireground.
He explained that the UHF radios they currently have, don't work in all areas and once a crew of six in the truck get to a fireground they can be widely dispersed and lose visual contact. The radios would improve communications and provide extra safety.
"We will be able to communicate with other trucks in the group and even with helicopters."
And more radios are likely to be needed in the future after the station received an influx of 21 new members recently following a community bushfire meeting where RFS community liaison officer Marty Webster spoke.
The station has 18 members on the books but that translates to about eight regulars, Mr Robertson said.
"We've got all the bush from Nethercote to Wyndham which hasn't been burnt so unless we get normal weather we're still in the same position," Mr Robertson warned.
