Bega pool to open at end of September; water already at 26 degrees Celsius

And the water will be warm, as it hit 26 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

"We're back with a vengeance with all the squads and lessons," pool manager Zoe Philipzen said.

"We're probably 80 per cent full already from people booking in."

In addition there will be aqua aerobics and the team is also offering private swimming lessons for adults, if they would like to train for Tathra's Wharf to Waves or improve their fitness.

The pool is open Monday to Friday 6am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm.

But on September 30, the pool will close at 5pm as council's pool strategy meeting is that evening.
