Bundarbo Station near Jugiong was owned by Mr Chisholm until his death in July, 2018 and was expected to sell for upwards of $30 million.
The Yass Tribune is unable to confirm whether the property of 2103 hectares met its expected price.
Meares and Associates Sydney agent Chris Meares conducted the private sale but is unavailable for comment.
It is understood the Kahlbetzer family, which owns Tynam Agricultural Group, has purchased the property.
Tynam Agricultural Group has been contacted for comment.
Employees of Bundarbo Station have been re-interviewed for their positions, a reliable source said.
Property managers of 10 years, the Renshaws, were told by the new owners they would no longer be needed.
Sal Renshaw said in a Facebook post: "Farewell Bundarbo, it has been a fabulous ten years.
"The Renshaws have been advised this week that the new owners do not require the skills and experience of this old manager. We are on the move and are looking forward to our next adventure!"
The station is well-known for producing top-ranked Hazeldean Angus.
Only two other families have owned Bundarbo in 170 years.
Mr Chisholm bought Bundarbo for a reported $2.7m in 1995 from the Osborne pastoral family, whose successive generations had held the Murrumbidgee River-fronting property since 1847, as reported by The Land.
The original earth-rammed homestead, set in 20ha of riverside parkland incorporating an Edna Walling garden, has undergone extensive renovation and expansion over the past three years.
To the original four-bedroom homestead with its formal sitting room and separate dining room, the owners have added a billiard and games room and an open-plan commercial kitchen with dining area and sunroom.
Complementing the refurbished homestead are two new three-bedroom guest houses, a swimming pool, clay tennis court, three staff houses and five-bedroom quarters housing up to 30 guests.
