There has been a shift in the junior competition formats, moving to an under 11s, 13s, and 15s competition. Under 11s matches will be played Friday nights using a soft ball, while both the 13s and under 15s will have their matches on Saturday mornings.
Everyone is welcome. Any interested players or parents should go to the club's Facebook page for updates or message Drew Mudaliar to register their interest.
Senior training is now in full swing Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30. All welcome.
In other cricket news, the Eden club is delighted to have five junior players selected recently in the ACT/Southern Representative squads to attend various Country Championships next month.
The club's young female stars Jessie Mudaliar and Jemma Pollock were named in the under 18 and under 15 ACT/Southern sides respectively to compete in Newcastle.
Jemma has also been working with the NSW Under 15s state squad in Sydney since June.
Not to be outdone, Joey Elton, Xavier Bowes and Rahul Mudaliar were also selected to the under 14 boys ACT/Southern teams to play in Dubbo.
"The zone takes in the whole south coast out to Goulbourn and all of Canberra and the Monaro. Our kids trialled very well against the best players in the area and they all deserve their selection. They can all go away confident they will hold their own against some good opposition," a spokesman said.
