The band consists of Bob Porter on reeds, Peter Poole on trombone, John Moffatt on sousaphone, John Roche on drums and Robbie Mann on keyboards.
Porter was a founder member of the Down South Jazz Band and the Down South Jazz Club, is an expert clarinet and saxophone player and has been a leading light in keeping jazz music alive on the South Coast.
He has toured with the Down South Jazz Quartet playing at jazz festivals in Manly, Thredbo and Norfolk Island.
He has also toured Germany and Edinburgh with Madam Pat Thompson and lately with Jazz Alley playing gigs and festivals around Narooma, the Tathra Hotel as well as with a Wollongong band called Captain Bob's Stationhouse 7.
This night of jazz will cost $15 for jazz club members and $20 for visitors with music from 7.30pm.
