The home roster took on visitors from Merimbula, but after a hard-fought game, the visitors took the crown with a 25-22 scoreline.
Lawn bowls officials congratulated to Emma Pettit, Alison Hoff, Joy Scott and Joy Clark. Eden officials said it was a great effort from local girls Di Skipworth, Heidi Wilesmith, Venetia Thompson and Kathy Rogers.
There were 15 social bowlers also on Tuesday with two games of pairs and one game of triples being played. The winners of the day with plus ten were Mark Pennington and Irela Nixon.
Members were happy to see a return visit from Cooma’s Jacko and Dot, while it was also nice to have ‘Crazy’ and Jace Rugg join play.
Members held a champagne toast for the passing of Pauline Lucas. The club offers condolences to Lukey, Nikki, Ian and their families. Pauline will be greatly missed by everyone at the club and to all who knew her.
The men held a send off for Daryl Spalding on the afternoon of Tuesday 15th January 2019 who is moving away. Members thanked him for his hard work.
The first round of the women’s major singles will be held next Tuesday 22nd January 2019. The first round draw is Di Skipworth v Margaret Millman, Irela Nixon v Judy Russell and Jan Key v Heidi Wilesmith.
On the calendar, Thursday is the men’s scoail with names in by 12.30pm for 1pm start. Sunday is mixed social play, names in by 10.10am for a 10.30am start.
Tuesday is the women’s socials at 9.30am. Visitors and new starters are always welcome.
