The Merimbula Chamber of Commerce is searching for young talent to enter the competition which will take place in Merimbula CBD held the weekend prior to New Year’s Eve. The competition is open to ages 10 to 29 with a maximum of four performers per musical group. The entry fee is $10. Magicians, jugglers, poets, bands, dancers, instrumentalists, ventriloquists, comedians, mimics, and singers will all be able to compete for prize money totaling $1000. Entries close midnight on Sunday, December 9.
“Merimbula is a family friendly town and we want young people to be involved in making it magical. We want to add some funky performances to our beautiful town,” chamber president Lynn McColl said.
“There is some great prize money, and the competition winner opens the New Year’s Eve concert at Ford Oval,” she said.
