The Towamba community held a working bee to spread 16 metres of woodchip soft fall around the school’s play area on Thursday, November 22.

The weather was no deterrent for the driven group of 10 volunteers who helped to shovel and lay the new material under the children’s play area.
Principal Glenn Dinwoodie said, “the community is so grateful to have received funding for this project, making it much safer for the children to play.”
Towamba Public School’s P&C committee thanked the Bega Valley Shire Council who funded the project through Club Grants.
