The regular exhibitions across a variety of categories were also very successful once again.
Wheelers Restaurant came on board to sponsor the exhibition centre venue, which proved to be a fantastic addition to the opening event, festival committee members said.
At Friday night’s official opening of the exhibition centre, sponsors and guests were treated to wonderful local oysters and a few bubbles.

Laurence O’Toole was a guest speaker on the night and gave an very interesting insight into his career that has led him to where he is now – the recently crowned world champion Timber Sportsman.
The opening was a huge success and prizes were awarded for the competitions being held.
Ports Authority sponsored the Repurpose competition, Forest Corporation of NSW the Artists who Wood woodworking competition, and Eden Lionesses, Harvey Norman and Phil Small the photography competition.
This year, having the exhibitions displayed in the centre of town this year increased the visitor numbers to the venue.

For her Repurpose It Challenge winning entry, Ms Woloshyn created a reusable cutlery holder...for reusable cutlery!
“The challenge was to make something new or useful out of materials that would otherwise be disposed of,” she said.
“Whether that was art or a piece of furniture, or whatever you could come up with.
“I used offcuts of fabric and I cut up a T-shirt of my toddler’s that no longer fits, and I made a holder for reusable cutlery.
“You can put in your reusable knife, fork and spoon, your reusable straw and cleaning brush in it and roll it up to take with you.”
The committee thanked everyone who was involved in the exhibitions this year, including the Men’s Shed, Imlay Crafts, Log Cabin Quilters, sponsors for the event, and all the entrants for this year.
