Dads Army
Still not accustomed to the change over of daylight savings, only nine players managed to greet the starter for a single stableford playing off the white markers on the back nine.
The veteran Alex Illes took advantage of the early morning stroll when he recorded 24 points with his 24 handicap, but Illes will not be sighted in the winners circle for sometime as the Dads Army handicapping system is very harsh.
The runner up, Mark Davidson, landed 19 points for victory.
Very regular Sunday morning player Brian McDonald will spend sometime on the practice range to avoid next week’s rabbit trap.
Next Sunday the brave troops will again contest a stableford playing off the yellow tees.
Visitors are most welcome.
