The whole team, editorial and sales, has found the experience of putting this Buy a Bale themed lift out together pretty special.
“Working on this feature has been an emotional roller-coaster,” says sales executive Brian Hill. “We have had overwhelmingly positive responses from our clients and heard about the experiences of farmers and the terrible toll on them and their families as the drought worsens. I don't think there is a single member of our team that hasn't shed a tear or two while working on this special project.”
Town & Country’s sales rep Grace Marshall says “Working on this feature made me realise more and more how this drought has affected all those in our community in different ways. Coming from a farming family struggling through the drought at the moment, it is truly overwhelming hearing about all the wonderful fundraisers, initiatives and hard work individuals and businesses are doing to help those who truly need it the most right now.

Goulburn-based sales rep Joanne Robinson said “Many locals that I spoke to could share personal experiences from the drought of their own, or of their neighbours. It is overwhelming to see the community come together to support a cause so many locals can relate to, and that is very close to my heart. We are so proud to give back to our Aussie farmers.”
Crookwell-based sales rep Donna Winterbottom added “"I love the Aussie spirit of helping others when they are down on their luck."
Braidwood-based sales rep Georgie Williams said “It’s great to see all of the support we have received, to know lots of businesses were happy to get involved even though they are being affected too, and to know everyone is thinking of the farmers and families.”
Newest team member, sales rep Taylor Ralph who moved to Goulburn from Sydney earlier this year, said “not only was this a great opportunity to give back, but it was also a big eye-opener for me personally, to what is actually happening to our farmers.”
Rosey Stronach, sales manager for Southern Tablelands, said “I am so proud of my team. To see the love, commitment and enthusiasm they put into this initiative shows me their passion for our farming community.
“My husband is a farmer and working on this feature has brought me to tears a couple of times.”
All of the advertisers in this feature have also enabled us to donate 20 percent of their payments directly to Buy a Bale. Rosey said “To be able to help to give something back to our farming community is something that I have passionately engaged in and I thank each and every business and staff member that has enabled us to provide the donation to Buy a Bale and to promote awareness of the drought.”
