This Saturday members and visitors will contest and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Eden Fishermen’s Club with a 4BBB stableford event.

The event was previously allocated to the 12th May but due to inclement weather conditions it was rescheduled to Saturday and it will be an 11am shotgun start.
On completion of the day’s play patrons will be treated to food and beverages to celebrate this special occasion.
Also on the agenda will be a farewell to longtime member George Barbas, who is leaving the area to reside in Victoria.
Members contested a four-person ambrose on Saturday with 56 starters and the club thanks Grant and Pam Inwood for their support.
Winners of the day were the combination of Adam Inwood, Matt Gee, Wayne Hansen and Phil Innes, who carded 53.12.
Runners-up with 54.62 was the strong combination of Graeme Cantrill, Scott Thornton, Noel Hall and Jess Mitchell. Maree Rankin scored the golden shot and balls went down to 56.38.
In ladies competition, last Wednesday was the fifth yearly stableford with trophies courtesy of the club.
A grade went to Sue Williamson with 33 points from runner-up Janice Davidson some seven shots back.
Judy English headed the B grade with 30 points with runner-up Betty Brown coming in just one behind on 29 points.
Saturday was also a stableford with 15 players vying for the Anne Wilcox trophy. .
Winner of the event was the very talented Vicki Sims, who fired an excellent round of 31 points and she defeated the runner-up Janice Davidson, who recorded 29 points.
