The centre is currently run by 25 volunteers and one paid employee. To keep their doors open they rely on the sale of the goods they stock, which is quite extensive and well worth a look, also through business memberships. They support local businesses, the Whale Festival behind the scenes, the library, and produce a monthly newsletter to promote what’s on around the area.
The appreciative winners of donated vouchers were Ruth, IGA Local Liquor; Tracey, Brenda and Bronwyn, Eden Realty; Jodie, Roses Property Management; Laura, Bridie, Golden Ocean Chinese; Leona, Eden Spa and Beauty; and Marg, Eden Eco Wraps.
An impressive brunch was enjoyed in the outdoor area at the newly opened Ollie Masons Piattini Cafe.
The next cash mob, May 5, is going to be combined with Merimbula Cash Mob, with everyone heading to Tathra. Meet in Tathra at the police station at 10am, or at the Eden Post Office at 9am to car pool, leaving by 9.15.
