The under 18s was about the only grade that went ahead without any incident as the Bermagui-Cobargo-Eden under 18s were outclassed by their Narooma rivals.
The score line favoured the Narooma visitors by almost 40 points as they unleashed a scoring frenzy in the second half.
All the later games broke down at various points, including the Pink Panthers against the Eden Tigerettes degenerating into a brawl near full time.
In the noon league-tag game, the Eden Tigerettes seemed to have control of the match despite trailing 2-0 early when the Pink Panthers took the two off a penalty in front of the posts.
Amber Kennedy helped Eden to the lead with some scorching runs as the hosts put on a pair of tries in the first half and then extended with another try early in the second to lead 14-2.
However, it was Candelo-Bemboka fullback Sharnie Long strutting her stuff with two blazing runs up the right flank to put the Pink Panthers right back in the chase at 10-14.
However, in the final minute of play a brawl broke out and two players were sent from the field with the final tackle falling flat and providing the Tigerettes the result.
The reserve grade was similarly heated in the early stages with a Panther sent back to the sheds for striking, but play steadied in later passages.
The Eels showed some good form, but struggled to contain the Panthers as the visitors ran out a convincing 42-0 result.
The first grade match up between the Devils and the Eden Tigers also broke down nearing the half time buzzer and again early in the second half.
The Tigers appeared to take control early on with the return of John Aldridge aiding the kicking game drastically – then a player was binned for 10 leaving the Tigers a man down.
Shortly before the break the Devils near-levelled the scores with a couple of handy tries on the edges.
Play became heated and a number of scuffles broke out on the field, continuing into the second half, but Eden maintained enough composure to close out the win 28-24 after a bitter clash.
