Playing against the Tathra two side over the weekend, Eden showed off their renewed batting focus to dominate the Sea Eagles.
The visiting side dropped just two wickets on the way to the modest total set by the Tathra line-up.
After winning the toss, the Sea Eagles took the crease first and set a humble target of 113 runs, finishing all out in the 33rd over.
Eden knocked over the openers quite cheaply as Sam Garrett was sent to the sheds for 11, while Tynan Taylor mustered just six runs before he was dismissed.
Making a middle-order stand, Michael Hergenhan led the scoring for the hosts with a decent knock of 36 runs, while Gordon Wiegold chimed in with a well-compiled 22 before he was dismissed.
Eden got on top of the play with a solid bowling attack and it looked like the Sea Eagles could be sent packing for less than 100 runs.
However, a late addition of 17 runs from Morgan McCoy helped push Tathra over the the triple digit threshold and set up a defensible target.
The best bowling figures were returned by Eden veteran Tim Bowes, who notched up four wickets for just 22 runs on the day.
Martin Butchers was hot on his heels, claiming three wickets.
The Eden outfit has enjoyed a renewed focus on its batting line-up with the team dominating the reply innings.
The visitors lost just two wickets in the run-chase after openers Drew Mudaliar and Patrick Kearney laid a strong foundation.
Mudaliar was a single shy of 30 when he was caught, but Kearney stayed on at the crease, building to a great score of 59 runs not-out.
Martin Butchers had gone out cheaply, but Eden was already closing in on the target.
A quick half-dozen runs from captain Tyrone Thomas put Eden over the target in the 25th over.
The team is now sitting dead even on points with both Pambula and Mallacoota and a win could see them crack into the top four.
Eden is also boasting one of the best defensive efforts in the association, losing the second least runs of any club in the 10-team draw.
This Saturday will see the boys in red hosting the South Eurobodalla outfit, that currently holds fourth on the competition ladder.
Valuable points are on the line as the competition nears its Christmas break with just one more round to play next weekend.
Play will be a 40-over one-dayer at the Eden Cricket Ground from 1pm.
