The 60-year-old man’s breath test returned a negative result, but an oral fluid drug test was conducted with a positive reading for methamphetamines.
He was arrested for the purpose of a secondary test and taken to Bega Police Station. This was conducted and the driver was issued a 24-hour suspension notice from driving.
Police will have the secondary sample laboratory tested before further action is taken.
