Jaylah, who is in Year 6, and Jake, Year 5, have just arrived back from Parliament House in Sydney where they were presented with their framed awards.
Their posters were displayed at Parliament House before becoming part of a travelling exhibition.
Jaylah was awarded $150 for her winning entry, which was chosen from more than 3500 entries from schools across the state and the ACT.
“This is the second year in a row that Eden Public School students have done this well,” proud teacher Jenny Edwards said.
Harmony Day, which is celebrated on March 21, celebrates peace and acceptance in Australia with the message that everyone belongs. The 2016 theme was ‘Stop, think and consider others’.
It aims to promote acceptance across a wide range of topics, including racial, social, political, spiritual, sexual and cultural differences.
