We would have read, with varying degrees of interest, the article on the front page of the Magnet, some weeks ago, of the plans Bega Valley Shire Council has to beautify Imlay Street.

I, for one, didn’t realise the impact these plans would have on going up the street to do the shopping or whatever.
When the work started, it was a real surprise to me that the project was to be started so quickly.
The removal and reconstruction is causing a lot of turmoil for shoppers and shopkeepers alike.
The improvements are really needed with all the unevenness in the footpaths and steep gutters with which we have coped over the years.
We really trust the work is done rapidly and the results are worth the current inconvenience.
As I have made the necessary adjustments to my plans of going up the street, I think of God’s plan to fix the mess of the world after mankind made a decision to do things their own way and destroy the fantastic beauty of God’s creation.
God’s plan involved the sending of Jesus, to live and to die.
When Jesus was arrested and sentenced to death, his disciples and close friends and followers must have thought, “What’s going on? How is this part of God’s plan?”
It all changed on that great day when Jesus’ friends went to the tomb to hear that God’s plan was for Jesus to die but then God show His awesome power by bringing Jesus to life again.
The pain of Jesus’ death was shown to be worth the confusion because the risen Jesus is the way for us to come back into a special relationship with God.
God cares for us SO much! Wow!
