Eden will play the top-ranked Tathra at Lawrence Park, Tathra, on Saturday from 9am.
The winner will claim a spot in the grand final the following week.
While defeating Tathra will be a big ask of the Eden side, it goes into the match in great form on the back of three straight wins, including a last start defeat of the previously top ranked Bega team.
The Steve Mitchell-coached side has developed well all season and appears to be hitting its straps at the right time, particularly Noah Martin who goes into the match in top form with the bat.
He will be ably assisted by Sean Webber and Riley Donaldson, who are both capable of scoring quick runs.
With the ball, Lachlan Mitchell has led the side well and big things will be needed from him this week against a strong Tathra batting line up.
Eden Red narrowly missed the finals and the Eden under 10 team also had a fine season, grooming more players for competitive cricket.
The club also had three of its players Noah Martin, Xavier Bowes and Morgan Thornton chosen in the Far South Coast Schools side.
Meanwhile, Noah is Eden’s sole representative in the local representative under 12s team to play Monaro next weekend.
Eden cricket advocate Drew Mudaliar had a few things to say about the Eden White outfit:
Riley Donaldson: Riley thought he loved soccer until he discovered cricket.
Tall, fast and agile, Riley is one of the best athletes on the Far South Coast and has quickly developed some cricket smarts to match his talent.
He has a very impressive attitude and capable of anything.
Xavier Bowes: The “X Man” is one of the hardest and cleanest hitters of the cricket ball, while also a reliable bowler.
He is capable of taking it to the opposition bowlers and the team needs the big guy to fire come Saturday.
Riley Stevenson: The other big Riley has quietly gone about his business this season and has continued to impress the coaches with his natural ability.
His excellent bowling is capable of making a dent in the Tathra batting line up.
Sean Webber: Solid powerful batsmen and athletic fielder.
Sean is a passionate cricketer and gives 100 per cent to every contest.
The team needs his stroke playing and tough batting if they are to post a good total.
Noah Martin: The sides “go to man”, Noah is the team’s gun batsman, freak fielder and pace bowler.
The rest of the competition has learnt over the last month or so how talented Noah is.
He is capable of leading his team well this week with bat and ball.
Opposition batsmen would be foolish to hit the ball in the air anywhere near him.
Zak Kelly: A solid sporting pedigree and natural ability makes Zak a hard-hitting batsman and valuable athlete in the team.
Capable of hitting the ball hard and to the fence.
Lachlan Mitchell: Big Lachlan leads the team well with the ball in hand.
Capable of getting a bag of wickets and already a better bat than his Dad.
Sean Terry: A talented athlete,
Sean has earned his spot as wicketkeeper with a faultless performance against Bega.
He is also capable with the bat and very quick between the wickets.
