Rain affected the first round, reducing games to a one-day contest, and the first innings of the second round may have got a bit wet itself.
Heavy cloud drifted in at both Bega and Tathra by about 3pm and scattered rainfall was hitting the ground before 5pm.
However, it didn't stop squads donning the whites and picking up the bat and ball.
Tathra was batting first against Merimbula at Tathra and Craig Nicholson was making inroads on the run count.
Unfortunately he sprained a hamstring and left the field to try and stretch it out.
In his absence, Chris Dwyer and Adam Blacka added some solid runs to the board, while keeping a defensive stance.
Dwyer fell to a solid catch from the Merimbula outfield, but the Sea Eagles were making good runs.
Shortly after, Blacka was clean bowled and then just at the drinks break another wicket fell, putting the home side three down for about 70 runs.
Meanwhile in Bega, about 70 runs is all Pambula mustered in its first innings against the Bega-Angledale Bulls.
The visiting Bluedogs were all-out for just 76 runs and the Bulls were going in to bat with confidence.
The openers added steady runs for the Bulls, but Pambula hadn't given up hope and was rewarded with an early wicket.
However, the Bulls forged ahead and were in a commanding position in a light run-chase.
