The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a strong wind warning for Eden coastal waters over Tuesday and Wednesday, with winds expected to peak at 50km/h on Tuesday.
Partly cloudy weather is forecast for the remainder of the working week, and it may be a tough task to drag yourself out from beneath the covers on Thursday and Friday, with overnight temperatures to drop as low as 3°C on both days.
We can also expect more smoky skies in and around the Bega Valley in the near future, with the Rural Fire Service to conduct 11 planned hazard reduction burns in the area before the end of the month.
Some of these are already underway, with land owned by NSW Parks & Wildlife Service, Forestry Corporation of NSW, local government and private owners to be affected.
Burns planned for the Bega Valley will take place in the following locations:
* South of Wolumla, North West of Merimbula, near Wolumla to North East (NPWS land).
* West of Candelo, near Candelo (NPWS land).
* North of Merimbula, South East of Bega, South of Tathra (NPWS land).
* 2km north of Lochiel (FCNSW land).
* Montreal Goldfields, near Fairhaven (local government land).
* Glisson Watson Road, near Cobargo (privately owned land).
* Black Range Road Black Range, near Bega (privately owned land).
* Summerhill Road Greigs Flat, near South Pambula (privately owned land).
* Old Mill Lane, Wolumla (privately owned land).
* Warrigal Range Road Brogo (privately owned land).
* Sapphire Coast Drive, Tura Beach (local government land).
