Laurence Binyon's moving excerpt from his tribute, the poem ''For the Fallen'', provided one of many memorable moments at Eden's dawn, ANZAC Day service.
Eden sub-branch RSL members Allen Greening, Stephen Mahoney, Barrie Beck and Peter Rice led the service.
Eden Lionesses had breakfast and tea ready at the RSL Hall, to welcome ex- and current service men and women, including members of RAAF 460 Squadron who provided the catafalque party.
The town is now preparing for the 10.30am march and 11am service at the Eden Cenotaph.
The Magnet will post full photo galleries of the march and 11am service later this morning.
See how we marked ANZAC Day across the South Coast.
