The duo run Nemo classes for youngsters aged between three and six, and also Starfish classes for older kids.
Lambert said 14 juniors finished up their fourth term in the Nemo grade last week with Tia-Louise Banks winning the new group, while Ryan Crofton claimed the honours in the older group of kids.
“They all had a great time on Wednesday afternoons where they learned to play golf,” Lambert said.
Lambert said new registrations had shown the popularity of the course among kids.
“There were six new Nemos this term which is a great result,” she said.
Lambert said the classes run for six weeks on Wednesday’s from 3.30-4pm with holiday breaks.
“There is a break now over the Christmas holiday and we expect to start up again when school goes back.”
The winner of the Starfish group was Morgan Thornton after a fantastic effort.
“Morgan has been to many golf sessions and could be the next Phil Mickleson,” Lambert said.
“Hot on his heels was newcomer Trent Johnstone and Mallacoota member Edward Ly.”
Lambert said it was great to see a good number of female participants who were giving the boys a run for their money.
“It was great to see Emily Lynch, Imogen Webster and Phoebie Clunie pushing the boys all the way - go girls,” she said.
The Starfish sessions are for older kids and run from 4pm until 5pm.
Lambert also reminds members that the children’s Christmas party is on Sunday, but the club needs more numbers for it to go ahead.
