Ryan, 19, announced on his Facebook page he had signed a publishing deal with Harlequin Books.

In 2013, Ryan became the youngest pilot – and first teenager – to fly solo around the globe.

Ryan started his quest in late June and had 34 stops through 15 countries, covering more than 24,000 nautical miles.

He completed his record-breaking mission in September when he touched down in Wollongong, before returning to Merimbula Airport.

Afterwards, Ryan said it was a “phenomenal feeling” to complete the journey.

“To land and park the plane in Merimbula was a phenomenal thrill…knowing it was all done was amazing,” he said (BDN, 10/9).

Ryan’s incredible trip was supported by Teen World Flight, with the teenager writing regular blogs on the TWF website.

On the TWF Facebook page, Ryan wrote he was “very excited to announce the next chapter”.

“[This is] another adventure that will see the Teen World Flight story put into my own words,” Ryan wrote.

“For the followers who loved the blogs, this will be the longest blog of all.”

Since arriving back in Australia, Ryan said he spent nearly every day travelling and talking about his journey.

Ryan said he had also shared the adventures of planning and the support of the Bega Valley and Sapphire Coast.

He has also undertaken an unexpected job opportunity.

“I have now started work as a pilot flying medical and charter flights from Cessnock, an exciting move with lots of new skills to be learnt,” Ryan said.

“As well as a new job, I have signed a book contract with Harlequin in order to have the story of my flight published by mid next year.

“There was even talk of a ‘likely and suitable location’ to launch the book.”

Ryan thanked everyone who has supported him, in some way, shape or form, during his flight.
