Zoe participated in the club level of the competition at Club Sapphire in Merimbula on November 27 and impressed judges in the three components – a panel interview, impromptu speaking and a prepared five minute speech. Zoe's performance improves on her public speaking win last year.
She will now compete in the next stage of the competition early in 2019.
Eden Marine coordinator Rowan Drowley extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the Pambula-Merimbula Lions Club for continued support of local students.
The Lions Youth of the Year program was established more than 50 years ago with the objective of developing and honing participants' skills associated with interview technique, personal interaction, networking, public speaking and “thinking on your feet”.
