Cuppaz volunteer Leonie Gavel spent the whole of Sunday baking and frosting exactly 100 cupcakes which she sold at the cafe in an effort to raise money for the RSPCA Cupcake Day.
This is the second year in a row that Ms Gavel has organised the fundraiser and although she hasn’t done a final tally she expects to have raised between 400 and 500 dollars.
Ms Gavel decorated the beautiful cupcakes to entice as many people as possible to support a cause that is close to her heart.
“I have a Jack Russell Fox Terrier that I treat like a child,” Ms Gavel said. “The RSPCA is something that is important to me because I love all animals.”
Ms Gavel said she was very grateful to the community for supporting her fundraiser.
“A lot of people donated and didn’t buy cupcakes, it was really lovely to see. The whole community really got behind it.”
