On Tuesday morning, NSW Lotteries officials were enthusiastically trying to contact the only division one winner of Monday night’s lotto draw to break the news that they’re a millionaire.
Repeated attempts to phone the registered winner using their Players Club card membership details were unsuccessful and at the time of going to press the winner had still not been notified.
The registered ticket was purchased from newsXpress Pambula.
It was the only division one winning entry in Australia from Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3666 on Monday, June 5, delivering a prize of $1 million.
NewsXpress Pambula owners Jason and Michelle Buckmaster said they hoped the winner would be united with their prize soon.
“It’s just fantastic that it was one of our customers. We’ve got the balloons up and a sign to celebrate,” Mr Buckmaster said.
“We’ve had this outlet for five years and this is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry!
“It’s a great achievement and it’s about time!”
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eager to speak to the winner and confirm their million-dollar prize.
“If you bought an entry at Pambula Newsagency in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw, check your ticket as soon as possible!” he said.
“And if you’re holding the ticket worth $1 million, phone NSW Lotteries as soon as possible on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”
The six winning numbers were 2, 16, 13, 22, 38 and 31. The supplementary numbers were 34 and 19.
