Meanwhile, the Eden squad comfortably knocked over Mallacoota with a fantastic batting display.
At the Pambula ground, Declan shone at the crease, while Joel showed immense consistency and accuracy with the ball in hand to dismantle Tathra’s hopes of victory.
Batting first, Declan smashed the Tathra bowling attack, slogging his way to an almost unheard of 91 not out as Pambula surged to a 3/182 effort after their 40 overs.
Kynan Baker and Zak Keogh also hit solid run totals in the effort with Kynan notching up 31, while Zak hit 25.
Tathra would have been eager to pay back some of the result with the bat, but couldn’t best the bowling of Joel.
The young gun took the ridiculous figures of 6/29 off an eight-over stint with the ball that included a hat-trick.
Joel’s efforts also included two ducks, one off a clean bowl and the second to an lbw.
Hosting Mallacoota at home, the Eden side took less than 20 overs to chase down the modest total set by Mallacoota.
The boys from the south had gone in to bat first and played defensively to finish the innings with figures of 7/117.
Eden captain Tyrone Thomas was the most damaging with the ball in hand, notching up four wickets for his team, while conceding just 22 runs off eight overs that included four maidens.
However, it was a great batting display from the Eden side that saw them take the win comfortably.
Drew Mudaliar opened for the side and quickly compiled a good hit of 40 runs, while David Summers chipped in with a well rounded 18.
Unfortunately, Patrick Kearney went out on a duck off an Ian Smith catch, but Thomas stepped in at the crease and began driving the ball for the fence.
Thomas rapidly put together 42 not out, with Eden verging on 100 before Mudaliar could be dismissed.
The Bluedogs are now fourth on the ladder and will host Bermagui at Pambula this Saturday from 1pm.
Eden holds down seventh on the competition ladder and will head to Tathra’s Lawrence Park to meet the Tathra two side.
