On Saturday, six gardens in Kiah, Lochiel and Eden were open to the public as part of the Eden Whale Festival celebrations.
Ross Chester of Dorchester on Bimmill St, Eden opened his garden on the day to support the Eden Lioness Club who presented the annual event.
“I read recently if you do four hours of gardening a week you live longer, but I’m sure I do a lot more than that!” Mr Chester said.
Eden Lioness Club vice-president Sandra Symonds said the club has run the open day with the whale festival for 15 years, but organised it by itself for 10 years beforehand.
