The men’s club held the Chris Waddell memorial two-ball shoot out and said it was well-attended with a field of 60 players taking part on Saturday.
Winners of the event were the combination of Joe Stewart and Eddie Miller, who amassed a very worthy round of 58.50 playing off a combined handicap of 18.50.
The runners-up were Micheal Beaven and John Fletcher with the pair carding an excellent score-line of 62.00 for this very popular annual event.
Club officials said the appreciated the continued support of the shoot out from Russ Waddell and looked forward to next year’s round.
Nearest the pin winners were the third to Ian Hamdorf, eighth – and golden shot – to Lou Ristanovic, 10th Grant Inwood and 18th Mal Barnes.
Ball winners needed to record 66.50 or better.
On Saturday members and visitors will contest a single stableford for the Kevin Turnbull trophy.
