The group – which comprises young people aged 15-17 who want to create employment and social opportunities – visited local businesses and community organisations last week.
Representatives from EB2 Phone Repair, Mark Anthony’s Surf Shop, Eden Library and South East Women's and Children's Services shared their ideas about how the young people could actively become involved in their community.
Gen-I members are creating promotional t-shirts to be sold to fund a community celebration in November. They hope businesses will provide in-kind or financial assistance, as well as offer advice and networking.
