The announcement was made last Tuesday July 12, with the IMB Bank promising funds to update the station’s studio equipment.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Eden Community Radio applied to the IMB Bank Community Foundation for the upgrade of its desk.
The current equipment will then be used by the station for outdoor broadcasts.
IMB Bank Community Foundation has announced a further $500,000 to 50 community projects in 2016, bringing the total funding investment to $8.1million over the past 17 years.
IMB Bank CEO Robert Ryan said Eden projects have received $50,000 of funding in that time.
“IMB Bank has always put the community and its members at the heart of everything we do and we are immensely proud of our contribution during the past 17 years,” Mr Ryan said on July 12.
“It gives me great delight to travel around the various places we operate and see the projects that we funded years ago now thriving and contributing so much to local communities.”
A cheque-presentation and gathering is being planned between the IMB Bank and 2SEA, and will occur within the next three weeks.
