At the front were student flag bearers from Pambula and Merimbula Public Schools, Eden Marine High School and Lumen Christi Catholic College, followed by members of the Australian Defence Force Academy, veterans, local students and two Pambula horsewomen from the 7th Light Horse Bemboka Troop.
Merimbula sub-branch member, Phil Hall said that members wanted to get the younger generation involved.
It was a plan that was already well-established with good and thoughtful presentations from local students during the local services.
Many local students also wore medals awarded to family members.
In the sun, the instruments of the Sapphire Coast Concert Band glittered brightly as the band accompanied the Pambula Public School choir.
