REAP Sapphire Coast co-founders Christine Welsh and Peter Buggy lead a hands on session teaching the Nutrition Education Sustenance Training (NEST) program while also cooking a delicious meal of spaghetti bolognese filled with vegetable and a bread and butter apple pudding made with no butter.
The The NEST program was developed by OzHarvest, the parent organisation REAP. It promotes healthy eating and nutrition and encourages ways to minimise the impact of waste on the environment.
“The NEST program provides easy, simple, interactive, non-judgemental and practical learning about food, healthy eating and budgeting,” Ms Welsh said.
“Everyone wins with the NEST program, you will eat more nutritious meals while saving money and reducing waste.”
REAP plans to spread its message across the entire Sapphire Coast.
