As workers put in a massive effort packing up the now-out-of-operation Bega hospital, NSW Ambulance paramedics and SNSWLHD patient transport personnel shuttled patients to the contemporary $187million facility on Tathra Rd.
The first person to be transferred from the old hospital to the SERH was Bega Valley local man Tony Lockerbie.
Joining him for the journey was Ivy, a brand new baby for Rebecca Miller and Eli Briggs, born at 2am on moving day!.
