Sand and tiger flathead remain off Tura Headland and Tathra. Luderick and squid can be taken from the Merimbula fishing platform and some large salmon have come through, although strong south east and south westerly winds have been making it difficult to fish.
The estuaries are a bit fickle at this stage due to the recent rains with bream in particular congregating well downstream.
Tailor, trevally, dusky flathead and the occasional luderick are available in the Bega River, Merimbula Lake and Pambula Lake.
Bait fish including garfish and small mullet can be gathered using bread burley but all estuary fish respond to soft plastics, hard bodies and blades.
Large whiting remain on the chew in both Pambula and Merimbula lakes and can be taken with both poppers and hard body lures. For the for best times pick the start of the run out tide.
