The body of Marnielee Maree Cave, 26, from Bega, was found under the Mogareeka Bridge on Tathra-Bermagui Road at Tathra on Wednesday morning.
Her death is being treated as suspicious.
Investigators from Far South Coast LAC and detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad are awaiting post-mortem results as they continue their investigations.
On Saturday afternoon, a Facebook page has been set up for friends and family to pay tribute to the ‘kind’ and ‘beautiful’ 26-year-old.
Far South Coast Crime Manager Detective Inspector Kevin McNeil had on Thursday released a copy of a butterfly pendant to the public in the hopes of identifying the woman.
The sterling silver pendant was found attached to a necklace on the body.
Det McNeil said police also sought information about vehicle movements in the area.
“If anyone has information about any vehicles with people (in them) prior to 8am [on Wednesday] around the area, on the Bermagui-Tathra road, we would like to hear,” he said.
“There were a number of vehicles inside that crime scene and we have inspected those vehicles and we will continue our inquiries.’’
Police on Saturday renewed their appeal for anyone who may have seen Ms Cave in the days before her body was found, or who has information which they believe could assist detectives, to contact Bega Police Station.
